March 10-14, 2014: Travel & Tourism Trade Mission to Taiwan, Japan, and Korea
The U.S. Department of Commerce Commercial Service is organizing a trade mission to Taiwan, Japan and Korea March 10 - 14, 2014. The purpose of the mission is to help U.S. firms find business partners and sell services in Taipei, Taiwan; Seoul, South Korea; and Tokyo, Japan. The targeted sector is travel and tourism including U.S.-based travel and tourism suppliers, destination marketing organizations (i.e., convention and visitors bureaus), travel promotion organizations and other travel and tourism entities promoting and selling travel to the U.S. The mission will include expert briefings from U.S. commercial officials about the opportunities and challenges in each market, Business matchmaking with pre-screened potential partners, Exclusive meetings with international industry and government decision-makers the target countries, and Exclusive networking receptions with local industry and government leaders.  U.S. participants may choose to travel to one, two or all three markets. Costs are as follows: Taiwan: $1,400 SME’s and $1,625 for large firms; Japan: $1,725/$1,925; Korea: $1,275/1,475. Sponsorship opportunities available. November 2-3, 2013: U.S. Education Pavilion at OCSC Fair – Bangkok, Thailand
The USCS in Thailand is recruiting U.S. higher institutions to join the first ever U.S. Education Pavilion at the International Education Expo 2013 hosted by the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC), where 30,000 visitors are expected. April 7-11, 2014: Central European Education Fairs – Budapest, Prague, Warsaw
The US Commercial Service in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland are organizing educational fairs in their respective countries in cooperation with EducationUSA and the Fulbright Commission. This is an opportunity for representatives of regionally accredited U.S. institutions of higher education, both undergraduate and graduate, to explore the markets of Central Europe. These fairs will connect U.S. educational institutions with prospective students and potential institutional partners in listed countries.
